Frequently asked questions
How do I sync between my iPhones?
Sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on, on each iPhone. Your data then syncs automatically. You can check the sync status in the app under Settings → iCloud Sync.
Will my data come back on a new phone or after reinstalling?
Yes, as long as iCloud was on. Sign in with the same Apple Account and install Frienbead again. Your data comes back on its own, though the first sync may take a moment.
If you weren't signed in to iCloud, your data only lived on the old device and is removed when the app is deleted.
How does Face ID Lock work?
Turn it on in Settings → Privacy → Face ID Lock. Turning it on or off requires Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
Once it's on, you'll need to unlock again whenever you leave the app and come back. The app's content is also hidden in the app switcher.
What if Face ID doesn't recognise me?
You can unlock with your iPhone passcode instead. If you cancelled, tap Unlock on the lock screen to try again.
How do I set up the daily reminder?
Go to Settings → Daily reminder, turn it on, and choose a Reminder time.
Not getting reminders? Notifications may be off. Allow them in iOS Settings → Notifications → Frienbead.
How do I change the app's language?
Go to Settings → Language. Choose 繁體中文, English, 日本語, 한국어, or Follow system. It only changes the text inside Frienbead, not other apps.
How do I restore my purchases?
Go to Settings → Frienbead Plus → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy.
How do I delete a friend or a moment?
A friend: in the Friends tab, press and hold the friend, then choose Delete. Their moments are deleted too, and this can't be undone.
A moment: press and hold it in Today or on the friend's page, then choose Delete. Or open it and tap Delete this moment.
